Description & Explanation: Used for daily hospital rounds for a patient who requires Moderate complexity management. This is the most common subsequent hospital care code.

  • MDM: Moderate.

  • Time: 35 minutes (total time on date of encounter).

  • Status: Patient usually has an exacerbation of a chronic condition, a new problem, or side effects of treatment.
